Simone R. Holloway

Simone Holloway focuses her practice on real estate law in MGC’s Greenville office. Simone believes in the importance of “building relationships with clients, communicating clearly and utilizing the highest level of integrity.”

Prior to joining MGC, Simone practiced general law at a law firm in Greenville, South Carolina. She also has experience conducting civil bench and jury trials from start to finish.

Outside of MGC, Simone enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies and eating delicious food. You may find her listening to music while hitting the gym or spending time with her family.

Zak D. Worley

Zak Worley serves first-time homebuyers, repeat real estate purchasers, commercial and residential property developers and business owners in real estate transactions in the Kernersville and Winston-Salem areas. He believes that communication is key in any real estate transaction.

“I try to take complex legal issues and simplify them down to a real-world application or example so that the client can better understand what it is that I am trying to help them navigate,” he says. “I try to maintain my focus at the individual level so that each client feels as though I am dedicated to helping them solve their problem personally.”

Zak is married to his law school sweetheart, Cassidy, and they are currently trying to remodel their first house together. His hobbies include hiking, fishing and church on Sundays.

T. Lawson Newton

Lawson Newton handles residential and commercial real estate matters, homeowners’ associations, corporate law, basic estate planning and real estate litigation. Lawson is the past chairman of the North Carolina Land Records Task Force and a past member of the Real Property Section Council for the North Carolina Bar Association.

Lawson earned his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law and Bachelor of Science from Wake Forest University. As a member of the Forsyth County Bar Association, he has presented at several local bar seminars.

Phillip E. Searcy

Phil Searcy handles residential and commercial real estate matters and industrial transactions. As a Board Certified Specialist in Residential Real Property Law and Commercial Real Property Law, Phil has served clients across North Carolina for more than 41 years.

Phil was previously a member of the Real Property Specialization Committee for the North Carolina State Bar, which is responsible for the testing and assessment of those who aim to be recognized as specialists in the practice of real estate law. In addition, he served for five years on the North Carolina Bar Association and NC Realtors Association Forms Committee, aiding in drafting the standard real estate forms for the state of North Carolina. Phil is currently an Advisory Board Member for Truist Bank.

William Bradley Legare

Brad Legare’s practice focuses on real estate, bringing nearly two decades of experience to the firm’s Summerville office. “I’d rather be prophylactic and solve problems early in the closing process to ensure a smooth closing for all parties,” says Brad. “I [also] encourage all parties to ask questions so that everyone is comfortable with the details of the particular transaction.”  

Prior to joining MGC, Brad was a closing attorney in Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia. He also practiced business and real estate law at a firm in the Atlanta area. 

Outside of MGC, Brad enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking and any other outside activities.

Chelsea Phillips

Chelsea Phillips practices real estate law with MGC’s Real Estate Law Group. She primarily handles buyers and sellers in real estate transactions in the firm’s Summerville office. Chelsea strives to provide a smooth and stress-free closing process. Additionally, she understands that life can be busy and will work with her clients’ schedules to get them through the closing process. Chelsea also believes it’s important to ensure that her clients are comfortable with her as the closing attorney and feel they can reach-out to ask questions when needed.

Outside of the office, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her husband, Kyle, and her daughter, Kimber, as well as reading, watching college football and playing with her three dogs, Remi, Ellie and Leroy. She also has a bearded dragon named King Tyson II.

Emily Dowell’s practice focuses on title work in the firm’s Columbia office. Chris Digby

Chris Digby’s practice focuses on real estate in the firm’s Irmo office. Chris takes a teacher’s approach to real estate transactions so clients truly understand exactly what they are committing to and what their rights are in relation to their property and financing agreements. He believes the most important things clients need from their attorney include competence and trustworthiness. Chris strives to ensure that all parties are meeting their commitments and doing so in an honest way.

Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and dog in his free time. He also enjoys playing, coaching, attending and officiating sporting events, as well as exercising and being outdoors.

David Ross

In addition to managing MGC’s real estate practice, David Ross represents clients in a variety of residential and commercial real estate transactions, which includes contract drafting and business formations. Since he joined MGC in 2007, he has taken the practice from a small localized group to a full servicing practice, with offices throughout, SC, NC and GA. Prior to MGC, David served as law clerk for the Honorable L. Casey Manning of the Fifth Judicial Circuit and began his career with a real estate firm in Columbia.

When he’s not serving his clients, David is busy coaching the boys basketball team at Hammond, supporting Gamecock Basketball (Captain of the ’00 and ’01 teams) and helping his wife Kelley raise their two children, Jackson and Ellie.
