Checkout our second Women’s History Month spotlight on MGC Charleston attorney Chrissie Ormand.

What does Women’s History Month mean to you?
“Women’s History Month provides an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the sacrifices made and accomplishments earned by the women who came before us. These sacrifices and accomplishments paved the way for women today and in the future to have better opportunities and a better quality of life.”

Who are some female leaders who have served as role models for you in your life and/or career?
“I have always had the greatest respect for women who blazed a path while they also built bridges. Women who stood strong in their beliefs and convictions; stood up for what they believed in no matter the risks; yet maintained softness and grace, and lifted others up as they did so. A few women leaders that serve as role models for me are Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Condoleezza Rice, and Queen Elizabeth.”

Is there anything that you would like to share about being a working mom?
“For me, work-life balance is a priority. While I am a lawyer, I am also a mom of two (Chapman – 8; Annabelle – 4), and a wife. Being a working mom presents its own set of unique challenges trying to keep all the balls in the air at once.  I am very lucky to work with a firm that understands, supports, and encourages their attorneys in priorities outside of practicing law.”
